The story behind Kimono collection
1
Raw material
Obi Kimono Silk Fabrics
Sourced directly from the historic Nishijin district of Kyoto, Japan, each panel of your shoe is cut from an authentic, vintage Obi—the ceremonial sash of the traditional kimono. The most salient feature of this exquisite fabric is its three-dimensional, handwoven texture, crafted using pure silk and genuine metallic threads. Because every vintage Obi is unique, no two pairs of shoes will ever share the exact same pattern, making yours a truly unrepeatable masterpiece.

The Structure
Sole & Premium Materials
The structural foundation of your shoe is built upon world-renowned Italian leather, sustainably vegetable-tanned in Tuscany. These premium sole bends are sent directly to our historic Gallucci factory in the Marche region, where they are carefully shaped, skived, and prepared by hand. This traditional tanning method ensures exceptional breathability, natural flexibility, and a lifelong structure that gracefully adapts to your stride.

The Assembly
Stitching, Lasting & The Blake Welt
The assembly of your shoe is a masterclass in patience and precision, merging three critical steps into one seamless execution. First, the upper stitching requires extreme reverence: because the vintage Obi silk is uniquely delicate, its woven edges are meticulously reinforced and sewn to the leather lining by hand to prevent fraying. Next, during the lasting phase, the upper is carefully tensioned over our custom wooden last, adjusting the pull millimetrically to respect the silk’s natural weave. Finally, the structure is completed using the prestigious Blake Stitching technique, which directly sews the leather outsole to the inner sole.

Quality Control
In-House Inspection for Silk Integrity
Before any shoe can advance to the final stages, it must pass through our uncompromising internal quality control at the Gallucci factory. Given the extreme delicacy of the vintage Obi Kimono silk, this inspection is highly specialized. Our dedicated quality control artisans meticulously examine every millimeter of the textile, checking for micro-tension issues, ensuring there are no loose jacquard threads, and verifying that the alignment has remained flawless during the intense lasting process

The Final Touch, Warranty & QR Certification
Once quality control is passed, your shoe enters the Finishing phase. Each pair is then nestled into its premium, custom-made luxury box. Included inside is your physical Warranty and Authenticity Card, featuring the unique QR Code that acts as a digital product passport.
