Care & Maintenance

  • Targeted Cleaning: Due to the specialized waxed finish, avoid using stiff or harsh suede brushes. Instead, gently wipe away urban dust with a soft, slightly damp cloth or a very soft-bristle brush.
  • Conditioning the Waxed Finish: To maintain the unique glossy/matte contrast, apply a specialized waxed-leather cream or a light conditioning wax periodically. Buff gently with a horsehair brush to revive the subtle shine on the burnished areas.
  • Cedar Shoe Trees (Crucial): Always insert unvarnished cedar shoe trees immediately after taking them off. This absorbs residual moisture, smooths out creases, and preserves the structural integrity of the Goodyear welt.
  • Resting Period: Never wear Goodyear welted leather shoes for two consecutive days. Allow them at least 24 hours to rest so the natural leather components (lining, insole, and upper) can breathe and fully recover.
